After a long and fulfilling band history with international concert activities, it seems as if Lily Horn has blown her last note. But Lily takes a deep breath – and carries on.
A new musical partnership is formed with the young Zurich saxophonist Naïma Gürth: fresh and lively. The moving boxes contain the lovingly quirky and touching songs of jazz pianist Eliane Cueni: a musical treasure, a charming legacy.
Composers Kitagawa and Wyss give the idiosyncratic jazz pieces a new look – tailor-made for the special formation of Lily Horn Is Born. With singer Helen Iten, they bring Cueni's original fellow musician into their musical home.
There is a scent of new sounds in the air. The first original compositions are already simmering on the stove. ‘Next Life’ is knocking at the door. Come in, take a seat in our musical kitchen – it will be warm, colourful and surprising!
