Celebration | Bach h-Moll Messe | Arcangelo & Jonathan Cohen

05.09.2026 , Saturday

A spectacular finale for the 70th edition of the Menuhin Festival Gstaad! The program features a work that was particularly dear to Yehudi Menuhin – a highlight of Western music and also Bach's artistic and spiritual legacy: the B minor mass. It will be performed by one of the most exciting representatives of the Anglo-Saxon Baroque scene, the Briton Jonathan Cohen, who travels to Saanen with his ensemble Arcangelo – a handpicked choir and orchestra that has been captivating audiences worldwide since 2010. Together, they set standards in 2014 with their acclaimed Hyperion recording. A festive highlight, perfect for a jubilee finale!
