Martina Meola
24.08.2026 , Monday
At just 13 years old, Martina Meola is one of the most remarkable piano talents of her generation. The young Italian pianist has already been awarded at numerous international competitions. In 2024, she won the International Piano Competition "Città di Minerbio" and received not only the 1st prize but also the Liszt Prize and the EMCY Special Prize. In March 2025, she won the Jeune Chopin Competition, whose jury was chaired by Martha Argerich.
This summer, Martina Meola made international headlines when she stepped in last minute for Khatia Buniatishvili at the prestigious Festival International de Piano de La Roque d’Anthéron and celebrated an extraordinary success in front of about 2,000 audience members. Now she will perform for the first time at the Menuhin Festival Gstaad: In the Church of Saanen, she will present a piano evening featuring works by Frédéric Chopin and Franz Liszt.
Martina Meola takes over the concert on August 24 for Daniil Trifonov, who had to cancel his performance due to an injury. As his recovery requires a longer concert break, he is unable to partake in the concerts planned for this period. Daniil Trifonov extends his heartfelt thanks for the understanding and support during his recovery.
The originally scheduled concert with Daniil Trifonov and Sergei Dogadin, as well as the intended program, therefore cannot take place. Tickets already purchased remain valid for the concert with Martina Meola. If you have any questions, our ticketing team is happy to assist you at tickets@menuhin.ch or +41 (0)33 748 81 82.
