Maurice Steger & Sebastian Wienand
04.09.2026 , Friday
For many years they have been a fixed part of the large festival family. Now, Zurich recorder player Maurice Steger and Basel harpsichordist Sebastian Wienand return to the mountains – with one of their legendary fireworks of early music, full of spirit, virtuosity, and pure joy of playing. At the center of their program is the illumination of those connections – often familial in nature, but not only – that have shaped some of the most beautiful chapters in the great book of music history: familial and friendly team spirit. Among them are the masterpieces for recorder by Benedetto Marcello and Giuseppe Sammartini, which arose from decisive encounters in their closest circles.
